Indiana Tech is a comprehensive, four-year university that was founded in 1930. With a main campus located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, this private institution educates students well beyond its home base with nine regional service centers and online programs that meet the needs of students worldwide. Our majors are separated into three colleges: the College of Business, the College of Arts and Sciences and the Talwar College of Engineering and Computer Sciences.

Our College of Business is accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), which is a worldwide leader in mission-driven, outcomes-based programmatic accreditation for business education. Plus, our human resources program is endorsed by Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest professional organization for human resources professionals.
Yes, you can take dual-credit classes through our Early Start program while you’re attending high school. Classes are just $75 per credit hour. Plus, you can receive a $500 Indiana Tech scholarship for every Early Start class you complete with a grade of C or higher (up to $1,500) if you enroll as a freshman at Indiana Tech.
Each student is assigned an admissions counselor based on where your high school is located. Your counselor is going to be with you throughout the admissions process, from the moment you apply until you start classes at Indiana Tech. Our team will give you personalized service that larger colleges are not equipped to provide. Find your admissions counselor who will be your go-to person.
Indiana Tech provides institutional aid, such as scholarships or need-based grants, to 100% of the traditional undergraduate students who enroll at Indiana Tech. Plus, students who are eligible for government-funded financial aid, like the state-funded 21st Century Scholarship, can use those grants to help pay for tuition at Indiana Tech.
Because Indiana Tech is a private university, there is no difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition.
For incoming freshmen, Indiana Tech offers merit scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $18,000 per year. After you apply and submit your transcript, we will review your application and see which scholarship amount you qualify for.
If you’re being recruited for athletics, you must talk to your coach about scholarships.
Indiana Tech also offers the Presidential Scholarship, which is a full-tuition scholarship opportunity awarded to four students each year. It has a separate application process.
To start, please file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.studentaid.gov. You’ll need Indiana Tech’s school code, which is 001805. Please contact our office if you have any questions.
After you have been accepted and Indiana Tech receives your FAFSA, your admissions counselor will mail your financial aid offer to you. Our team is available for phone calls and virtual meetings, so you can review your offer at your convenience: Schedule an admissions meeting.

Remember, 100% of traditional undergraduate students who enroll at Indiana Tech receive institutional aid, such as scholarships or need-based grants. Plus, textbook rental is included in the cost of tuition.

Indiana Tech offers 30 athletic teams and a variety of intramural programs available.
Students are able to attend Indiana Tech athletic events for free.
Indiana Tech’s athletic program has enjoyed a remarkable run of success, specifically over the last decade. Since 2010, Warrior teams have won 21 national championships in different sports, and 103 individuals have earned national championships in their respective sports. And in 2023, Indiana Tech was awarded the Learfield Directors’ Cup, awarded to the NAIA’s most successful athletic program over the past academic year.
We have multiple athletic facilities on campus. On our main campus, we have the Warrior Athletic Center, the Warrior Fieldhouse and the Schaefer Center. Plus, we have a Fitness Center available for all students to use, whether or not you are participating in one of our athletic teams.
Additionally, Indiana Tech teams compete at Warrior Park, an off-campus athletics complex. Warrior Park is home to the brand-new Doug Edgar Indoor Track facility, which opened in December 2022, a new softball stadium and a multi-purpose building, which is home to our wrestling programs.
Our Office of Student Engagement hosts more than 145 events each year. These are excellent opportunities to get to know other students on campus and feel a sense of community.
There are also dozens of student organizations. In fact, you can start your own! If you have at least five other people who want to participate in your organization, you can go to the Office of Student Engagement in Andorfer Commons and make a proposal for your idea to become an official student organization.
Plus, we have a movie theater on campus for you to enjoy. The Office of Student Engagement hosts regular film screenings, and it’s free for students to attend.
Once you’re a student at Indiana Tech, you’ll be able to download the WarriorsConnect app, which features a calendar of campus events and many other ways to stay connected to your campus community.
Based on previous feedback from students, let’s cut right to the chase—at Indiana Tech, you’ll never have to share your bathroom with strangers from down the hall. Instead, you will have more privacy in our first-year residences, Pierson and Kalbfleisch Halls. In Pierson, you’ll share a half-bath with your roommate and a shower/bathtub with your roommate and suitemates. In Kalbfleisch, you’ll have a private bathroom to share with your roommate.
Both residence halls feature a video doorbell system and access to laundry facilities is included. You can watch a detailed video tour of both halls.
In total, there are nine residence halls at Indiana Tech.
If you live on campus as an incoming freshman, you will be required to accept the full meal plan. This includes 19 meals per week, and you have four different dining locations to choose from, including:
- Andorfer Commons, our traditional dining hall that is an all-you-care-to-eat facility.
- Central Grounds, our coffee shop that offers various breakfast sandwiches, bowls, pastries and other items.
- Kachmann Café, which features Starbucks coffee and offers a variety of deli sandwiches, flatbreads, baked goods, snacks and many other options.
- Max’s Bistro, which features pub-style food including burgers, wings, flatbread pizzas, appetizers, soups and salads.
Commuters can also purchase meal plans or meal blocks.
Yes, freshman students are allowed to bring their cars to campus. An annual parking pass cost $75.

- A green space in the center of campus where events and picnics can be held.
- A recreation center, which features multiple pool tables, foosball, ping-pong tables and a shuffleboard table.
- Two coffee shops, including Kachmann Café and Central Grounds.
- Common areas in both freshman residence halls, Kalbfleisch and Pierson Halls.
- Computer labs in McMillen Library, Cunningham Business Center and the Zollner Engineering Center.

Fort Wayne is the second-biggest city in the state of Indiana. Like Indiana Tech, the city of Fort Wayne has grown significantly in the past 15 years. The city’s recent projects include The Landing, Promenade Park and Electric Works.
There’s also plenty of festivals, like Johnny Appleseed, Fright Night and more. Top employers in Fort Wayne and Allen County include General Motors, Parkview Health, Sweetwater, Do it Best, Vera Bradley, Steel Dynamics, Indiana Michigan Power, B.F. Goodrich, Amazon and others.

Northeast Indiana experiences all four seasons, and during seasonal changes, temperatures can change suddenly.
- During fall months, high temperatures average between 49 and 76 degrees, while low temperatures average between 33 and 54 degrees.
- During winter months, highs average between 32 and 37 degrees, while lows average between 17 and 23 degrees.
- During spring months, highs average between 47 and 72 degrees, while lows average between 29 and 50 degrees.
- During summer months, highs average between 81 and 84 degrees, while lows average between 60 and 63 degrees.

The health and wellness of our students – inside and outside of the classroom – is extremely important to Indiana Tech. That’s why our Wellness Clinic is equipped with a health clinic nurse practitioner and qualified counseling professionals to help our student body maintain optimum physical and emotional health.
Plus, access to the Fitness Center is free for students, regardless of your participation in athletics.
